SYNTH
for B.K.
I relish the way
your neck bends
when you know
I have a daytime
particular for you,
how your legs kick
into a circular stride,
perhaps glowing
in the night, arcing
the dark with greens
and pinks and blues,
I imagine you tilting
your head like
that in the matte
black, your sweat
falling like crystals
toward the floor.
