We are a literary magazine that curates the work of Italian-American writers , but we are people, too. Please follow submission and query etiquette. Emails that are sent suggesting that the piece attached “might be something you can use” show a lack of respect for the work as well as for the staff who are supposed to read it and will deleted without comment.
Show up for your own work by sending a polite and professional email, the title(s) of your work, the genre and for long pieces, a word count. Doing so is a sign of respect to yourself , your work and the editors.
Please do not query on your submission until after 3 weeks.
We are a small staff, working hard here, but we also have primary jobs. Patience and kindness go a long way. We are happy to read and endorse work that adhere to these guidelines and are happy to nominate for the Pushcart and Best Small Fictions.
We ask that if you are published in OVUNQUE SIAMO that you wait at least one issue before submitting your work to us again.
Failure to adhere to guidelines will result in your submission not being read.
Please report your submission to Duotrope!
